The Sibylle Assmus Foundation is once again inviting applications for a Neuro-oncology Grant Award for 2022.

The foundation has set itself the task of supporting the various aspects of neuro-oncological research. The award is primarily intended for younger scientists who have already contributed through outstanding achievements to the understanding of tumor pathomechanisms or to new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in the past three years, or who are working on corresponding projects in the clinical field or in basic research. In addition to applications from laboratory research, those from clinical research and palliative medicine are also welcome.

The Sibylle Assmus Award is endowed with 10,000 €.

Applications will be accepted from November 1, 2021. The proposal should be formulated along the lines of DFG proposals but should not exceed 6 pages. In addition to a detailed description of the project, the application should also include information about any preliminary work, and the start and expected duration of the project and the use of funds.

The application is to be sent exclusively in an electronic version by e-mail or on CD-ROM (whereby the file should not exceed 5-6 MB), including a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a letter of recommendation from the chair or department head to the Foundation Board of Directors
