First Heidelberg Conference on Cancer Neuroscience

We are pleased to announce the first Heidelberg Conference on Cancer Neuroscience (HCCN), which will be held at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg on July 18-19, 2023. This conference aims to bring together scientists and clinicians in this emerging and highly interdisciplinary field to share their latest findings and engage in lively discussions. We expect participants from neuromedicine, neuroscience, oncology, cancer research, data science, mathematics, technology development and more. Exciting studies in recent years have shown that cancer development, growth and resistance can be controlled by the central and peripheral nervous systems. This has been demonstrated for brain tumors, but also for many cancers outside the brain. Conversely, cancer and cancer therapies can affect the structure and function of the nervous system, resulting in potentially harmful feedback loops.
The conference will cover all relevant aspects of cancer neuroscience. We will have keynote lectures by leading experts as well as oral and poster presentations by researchers from around the world. In addition to the scientific program, there will be ample opportunities for networking and informal discussions with colleagues.
We invite researchers at all career stages, including students and postdocs, to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Abstract submission is open now, and the deadline for submission is June 15. Submit your abstract now via cancerneuroscience.de/abstract-submission/
