NOA-14/HIPPORAD-Trial (prospective, randomized, multicenter phase 2 study on whole-brain irradiation with hippocampal sparing and dose escalation for metastases)

The HIPPORAD trial is a phase 2 trial for patients with 4 – 10 brain metastases from solid tumors. The aim was to investigate the benefits of whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) with hippocampus sparing (HA) and with boost on the metastases compared to WBRT and simultaneous boost without HA, on memory performance and morphological brain changes in patients with brain metastases.
